The budget of construction fund of the municipal corporation in Agra has ended in February itself. In such a situation, work will not be done from the corporation’s fund. Development work will start only when the budget comes in the new financial year. The tasks for which funds have been allocated will be completed.

In the financial year from 31 March 2024 to March 2025, the Municipal Corporation conducted road construction, model road, interlocking, drains, drains and culvert construction work from the construction fund. A budget of Rs 120 crore was approved in this financial year. Most of these works have been completed. East accepted work is still going on in the financial year. But now no new work will be started.

At the same time, councilors of various parties are circling to pass the files with the officials of the municipal corporation, but due to lack of budget, now the work of pending proposals has stopped. Other construction works will also be stalled for about two months.

Ravi Bihari Mathur, former Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Corporation, said that till now the work of Rs 70-80 crore was done by the corporation construction fund, but this time the records of Rs 120 crore have been done. Now the financial year i.e. March 31 will have to wait for new works. Chief Engineer BL Gupta informed that most of the construction works have been done by the corporation.

All work together for the ranking of clean survey

Rakesh Jain, Prakash Keshwani, Ravi Mathur, Sharad Chauhan, Anurag Chaturvedi, Hemant Prajapati of BJP councilor party say that councilors should now work with corporation officials to improve the city’s ranking. This time development works have been done in every ward. In such a situation, efforts should be made to increase the ranking of the city instead of unnecessary opposition.
